Bring Your Characters to Life
What makes a character unforgettable? In this creative cartooning workshop, participants become character designers and visual storytellers. They will experiment with shapes, proportions, costumes, expressions, and unexpected details to create original characters with distinct personalities, strengths, flaws, and stories of their own.
They will learn how body language, facial expressions, and movement bring drawings to life, transforming simple sketches into characters that feel expressive, believable, and full of energy.
As the workshop develops, students will use their characters to create short visual stories, scenes, or comic moments. The focus is on imagination, storytelling, and confident creative choices, giving each student the freedom to develop their own ideas and artistic voice in a supportive and engaging environment.
Materials:
All materials will be provided. Participants will work with graphite pencils, black drawing pens, coloured pencils, markers, and a variety of drawing papers suitable for sketching, character design, and visual storytelling.
