About the event
By Barbra Ann King
Everyone has heard someone say, “I have a book in me.” Far fewer people
ever get that book out of their heads and onto the page. This workshop is
designed for exactly those people: aspiring writers who know they have a
story to tell but don’t know how to begin, structure, or finish it.
Over four weeks, participants will move from a blank page to a complete
manuscript-in-progress, equipped with the tools, habits, and confidence to
see the project through to publication.
Who this is for: Anyone who has said, “someday I’ll write that book” and is
ready to stop waiting for ‘someday’.
What participants walk away with: A clear, personalized roadmap from
first sentence to finished, publication-ready manuscript — plus the first
concrete pages of their own book.
Workshop Goals
By the end of four weeks, participants will:
- Turn a vague idea into a concrete, structured book concept
- Overcome the blank-page paralysis and write a strong opening
- Build a sustainable writing process and structure for the full
manuscript - Understand what “publication-ready” actually means and how to get
there
