Sonnet 925 by John Edwards

Sonnet 925

“Spring Rain”

Spring rain comes throughout the night

On silent feet to shower the land

A welcome gift for all who thirst

Like the brush of fingers

Upon a lover's lips and breasts

Spring rain's enough her dreams to make

But not to wake

And in the morning a blush upon the narcissus
