The Ladysmith Fine Arts Show this year was a great success for organizers and artists. Hosted entirely online and virtually for the first time, everyone had to adapt to a new way of submitting artwork, the jurying process, uploading, curating and marketing. The awards ceremony which was held on Zoom for artists as well as sponsors and delegates was well received. The Arts Council of Ladysmith was so happy to provide artists from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Island this opportunity even during COVID 19. Feedback from online visitors and artists concluded what we at the arts council suspected, artists are resilient, unconventional, diligent, versatile, daring confident, gifted and productive.
This shows throughout our 2D, 3D and photography galleries as well as our fine art show gift shop. The show runs until March 31, 2021. Art is here!
