The Arts Council of Ladysmith and District welcomes you to the 10th biennial Ladysmith Fine Art Show. Artists from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands were welcomed into this exhibition. In total, this show is showcasing the work of over 80 artists representing a spectrum of mediums and styles. Artists were encouraged to challenge their own creativity and grow from this experience by producing the best they can at this moment in time, and to continue to strengthen and enrich the arts across the region.

The works selected for this show were chosen by a panel of three jurors: Jason Gress, Darcy Johnson and Harold Allanson. Each of these artists are professionals who exhibit a strong eye for detail and possess a wide range of experiences as artists themselves. The jurors carefully and thoughtfully viewed diverse works of art to come to a consensus in selecting the winners for this Fine Art Show. We are appreciative of the jurors’ dedication throughout this intense process and for the exceptional quality of their collective choices, which impart a unique flavor to this show.

Thank you to Sheila Norgate, our host for the opening and awards ceremony. We look forward to having Sheila return to join us for this exciting event. Thank you to all the volunteers and our amazing staff that continue to give of their time in all aspects of this exhibition to create a unique event in Ladysmith. Thank you to all our sponsors, donors and advertisers because without you, we could not ever hope to achieve what we do. Because of your contributions, we are able to present you with an exceptional exhibition from west coast artists. Please enjoy the show and share in celebrating fine arts. Visit often, bring your friends, and share this exhibition with everyone both in person and online. Art is for everyone!
