SUMMARY:Junk Journal Demo & Social
DESCRIPTION:Grab a coffee or tea and come for a morning art meet up at the Arts & Heritage Hub! Junk journaling is all about creating messy and imperfect art using a mash up of materials both new and repurposed. Working in a journal (sketchbook)\, play with different materials such as markers\, paints\, magazines\, buttons\, and pastels to create mixed media pages around a theme provided or your own inspiration.  \n\n\n\nThere are three sessions\,  sign up for as many as you want. Each session will include a different demo that you can choose to follow or not.  \n\n\n\nNovember 8 – Transparency (Tape Transfers) \n\n\n\nNovember 15 – Pockets \n\n\n\nNovember 22 – Flaps and Foldouts \n\n\n\nMaterials will be provided.  \n\n\n\nParticipants are welcome to bring a journal (sketchbook)  of their choice. This can be a store bought one\, preferably made up of art paper so it can withhold wet mediums if you plan on using paints. Or you can make one.  There will be a couple of handmade  journals available by donation.  \n\n\n\nAdmission is by donation. Proceeds will go towards education programming with the Arts Council of Ladysmith.
