In this course, suitable for the novice to intermediate painter,  we will explore various techniques while completing a series of smaller projects. Classes will cover an array of basic painting principals and will incorporate some mixed media applications. Get ready for experimenting with texture, drips, mixed media and more! • Detail Brush: #2 needed
• Heavy-bodied acrylic paints such as Golden, Liquitex or other professional-grade brand: Titanium White, Carbon Black, Phthalo Blue, Cadmium Yellow or a primary yellow, Quinacridone Magenta or a primary red
• Mixed Media Paper Booklet: 7x10" or larger (Canson or Strathmore are good brands)
• Five canvases, min 6x6", max 10x10" (can be square or rectangular)

Your teacher Jennifer O’Brien is an award-winning acrylic artist and instructor who currently resides in Chemainus. She spent the last decade instructing classes for all ages at her studio in Kamloops. Jennifer enjoys sharing her love of creating through painting, drawing, sculpting and pottery.
